Now, the International Trademark can cover 126 countries with a single application.<\/p>\n<p>The Madrid System is administered by the World International Property Organization (WIPO) and manages the registration of trademarks in a large number of countries by way of a centralized process.<\/p>\n<p>The system includes countries from all continents. Almost all the European countries are included. The American countries are increasingly present and now, besides Jamaica, there are the United States of America, Canada, Mexico, Cuba, Colombia, and Brazil, while Chile will join the system soon. The main part of the African countries participates in the system, including the 17 countries of the\u00a0<em>Organisation Africaine de la Propri\u00e9t\u00e9 Intellectuelle<\/em>\u00a0(OAPI). Among the Asian countries, there are China, Vietnam, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, India and Singapore. Oceania is almost completely represented with Australia and New Zealand.
