The Government of the Republic of Mauritius deposited with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) its instrument of accession to the Madrid Protocol concerning the International Registration of Marks on 6 February 2023, and will enter into force on 6 May 2023.<\/p>\n

The accession of Mauritius expands the international trademark registration system in the East African and Indian Ocean regions, where it already has other leading members such as Kenya, Mozambique, Madagascar or Indonesia.<\/p>\n
