18 Jul Morocco joins the Geneva Act of the Hague System
On July 22, 2022, the Geneva Act of 1999 of the Hague Agreement concerning the International Registration of Industrial Designs will enter into force in Morocco.
It is worth noting that Morocco has been a contracting State of the Hague Act of 1960.
With the adhesion to the Geneva Act of 1999, the Moroccan companies and designers will be able to protect their industrial designs not only in the 34 contracting States of the Act of 1960, but also in the 94 countries of the Hague System.
Conversely, the companies and designers of the countries which are already part of the Act of 1999 may include Morocco in their international design applications.
With this new adhesion, there is a total number of 69 Contracting Parties of the Geneva Act of 1999. The total number of Contracting Parties of the Hague System is 77.
