Brazil joins the Geneva Act of the Hague System

On August 1, 2023, the Geneva Act (1999) of the Hague Agreement concerning the international registration of industrial designs will enter into force in Brazil.

As of this date, the companies and designers from Brazil will be able to protect their industrial designs in 96 countries by means of a single international application and with a single set of fees.

Conversely, the companies and designers of the countries which are already part of the Hague System will be able to designate Brazil in their international industrial design applications.

With this new adhesion, there is a total number of 71 Contracting Parties of the Geneva Act of 1999.
