19 May SME Fund 2025: there are still strategic opportunities for trademarks, designs and IP diagnoses.
The European programme managed by the EUIPO has exceeded expectations in just three months. Grants for patents and Community Plant Variety Rights are no longer available, but you can still access vouchers for trade marks, designs and IP diagnostic services.
In only 3 months since the launch of the European Union SME Fund 2025 (in February 2025), some grants have already been exhausted.
This program, managed by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), offers financial support for the protection of industrial property rights (including trademarks, designs, patents and plant varieties); it has proven to be of great value to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
As mentioned above, since its inception, the Fund has received an avalanche of applications, which has led to the exhaustion of two types of vouchers: namely the one for patents, and the one focused on Community plant variety protection
Despite this, companies can still apply for other types of vouchers available, such as the voucher for IP Scan services and the voucher for trademarks and designs
These vouchers offer significant reimbursements, with up to 90% for IP Scan services and 75% for trademark and design application fees.
The SME Found will continue to accept applications until December 2025, at Curell Suñol, we have extensive experience in managing SME Fund grants and protecting Intellectual Property, so don’t miss yours!, contact us if you would like more information or need assistance in processing your application.
